An antique Austro-Hungarian or German 1-7/8" x 1-1/4" perfume flask or bottle c1880s-1900. It has an ornate, high relief silver plated floral design overlay, showing the Art Nouveau influence. This unsigned and excellent quality purse perfume bottle has a chain on the lid (but no stopper) along with an engraved name we can't make out. This bottle is in very good condition with no chips, cracks, dents, bends, corrosion, damage or repairs other than the loss of the stopper (which you can replace with a cork) and a slight touch of wear to the silver plate showing a bit of brass. A Gorham sterling silver miniature chamber stick or candle holder dated 1891. This Victorian era ornate chamberstick stands 1-5/8" high and it measures 3-3/8" across the base. It is stamped with the lion/anchor/G mark, along with STERLING 181 and the year cypher for 1891. Although a dainty size, these small candle holders sat on a writing deak or in a travel writing desk, as they had the practical use of melting sealing wax for an envelope or document. It weighs 41.6 grams. The maximum taper width for the opening is 9/16" across. It is in excellent condition with no monograms, dents, bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs. A hand painted Ashworth Imari ironstone dinner plate from 1899. This wonderfully decorative Victorian 10-1/2" dinner plate is in the Imari palette with a cobalt and gold border and a central floral panel with Oriental cameos around the edge. We haven't found a name for this pattern however B2050 is the same except with a black ground. It has various stamps including the Ashworth's Ironstone crown mark, B, an artist cypher, the B3665(?) pattern number, an impressed W, plus a hard to read impressed mark and a 7/99 date stamp. A matching set of three Daisy and Button pattern early American pattern or pressed glass (EAPG) cruets consisting of a 3" salt and a 3" pepper shaker plus a 3-3/4" hinged-lid mustard pot. The child carries a small sailboat and this unsigned vase has blue sprayed on colour. A large splendid mid-19th century 14K hand made brooch with a central large claw-set genuine pearl. This 2-3/8" x 1-3/4" brooch has very finely hand engraved and stippled leaves with superb detail with a fine 7.2 mm pearl in the center. The pin is a c-clasp and the pearl setting is mounted with a hand cut nut and bolt; the pin weighs an impressive 14.4 grams (1/2 ounce) of 14k gold; it is not marked but has been tested and is guaranteed to be 14K. A beautifully painted pair of framed watercolour photo renderings c1880-1900. They consist of a young man and woman in mid-Victorian dress; each image is done on Victorian photographic print paper and they measure 6-3/4" x 4-3/4". It was common to overpaint old and fading photographs, however these are of such fine quality and detail that they were most likely done from a mirrored projection, another common method of photographic rendering (we can't find any photographic detail under the painting with visual magnification). Each has the legend J. POWELL PHOTO on the image (even the J Powell is over-painted). The frames are an attractive matched pair of gilt painted wood, but are fairly recent in manufacture - the pictures were framed and matted less than 20 years ago. The couple is quite handsome, and they can be your new instant ancestors.... This pair of watercolour portraits is in very good original condition with no losses, damage or repairs other than a faint water stain and a couple of fox marks on the lady and some spots of missing colour on the gentleman (possibly from removal from some old glass to which the photo/picture had adhered). Each has been recently reframed and matted, and the spots on the man could be restored. A scarce and early red and white transfer large 10-1/2" rim soup bowl c1830s, in the Tadmor In The Desert pattern. From Jackson's Warranted (England) Holy Bible series, this early c1830s bowl is in fair original condition with no cracks, or repairs; it has the following condition notes - some minor inner rim losses (largest shown is 1/2", looks like a spoon rested in that spot for about 150 years, the rest are small), some minor outer edge glaze flakes, loss of gloss and fine network of cutmarks to the bowl interior from decades of use (not affecting transfer), allover crazing visible on back only, stained area on back. In fine condition considering its age, this scarce bowl shows quite well. A superb and very heavy quality silver plated fruit bowl with high relief designs and scrolling c1890, made by E.G. Webster & Son of Brooklyn, New York. This bowl measures 12-3/4 x 10" and it weighs an impressive 1 lb. 14-1/2 ounces. It has the crown, lion and Prince of Wales feathers marks and a 154 pattern. This mark is sometimes erroneously ascribed to the sterling silver wares of Webster (Rainwater) but it is plated. This item is in excellent condition with no cracks, losses, dents, monograms, repairs or damage other than some tiny and shallow surface pits on the interior edge of the bottom of the bowl. It appears to have been re-plated in the past and the finish is shiny with no losses (replater's mark near factory mark). A stylish antique Victorian period large Neoclassical style hair / mourning brooch c1860-70. This 2" x 1-1/2" pin features the multilayered effect found in Victorian high-style jewellery, and it has great gold appliques and fine ropework. It features two braids of blonde and brown hair under the original glass, which retains its original bezel. One plait is small and chestnut brown and tied with a pink ribbon, the other larger one is blonde with grey. The mounting and presentation is quite fine, and this unmarked pin tests as 14K yellow gold; it weighs 13.3 grams. It has a c-clasp, and it is in mostly excellent condition with no dents, monograms, corrosion, repairs or damage other than the loss of one decorative "S" applique (this is restoreable by a competent jeweller or jewellery repairer).
