A fine quality elegant etched glass water pitcher c1910-20. This lovely quality blown glass 8-1/4" tall pitcher has an applied handle, and it features a fine etched Arts and Crafts style motif with subtle vertical ribbing. The pontil is smoothly polished. We have had stemware previously in this pattern, which we have been unable to identify (can you help?). This pitcher is in excellent condition, with no chips, cracks, scratches, crazing, staining, repairs or damage. The fine white spots and lines and flashes are artifacts of the photography, and are not present in real life - it is in clear and excellent condition. An Ellis sterling silver butterfly wing tie bar circa 1910 - 1920 in a vintage case. This Edwardian vintage 2-3/4" x 5/8" tiebar has a central butterfly wing decoration under glass. It is stamped ENGLAND on the back and it tests as sterling silver. It comes in a period satin and velvet fitted Ellis Bros. box from Toronto (later bought out by Birks). The brown gold-stamped box has one scrape on the top, and this man's fashion accessory weighs 5.3 grams. An Empress Gloss papier mache advertising box circa 1890-1900. This German box has a fancy script "EMPRESS" GLOSS gold advertising decal on the lid. This 6-1/4" x 2-1/4" box has a black lacquer exterior and a red interior, and the lid is hinge-mounted. It is stamped "PAPIER MACHE" MANUFACTURED IN GERMANY on the bottom. We were unable to find out any information on the product or company, but the polish for Victorian period leather boots was typically known then as shoe gloss, so possibly this was for a shoe polish product. This item is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, crazing, losses, damage or repairs other than a few tiny flakes to the lacquer on the lid's edge (one visible, three under the lip) and some minor losses to the shiny gloss on the surface (very slight). An enamel 800 silver enamel snuffbox or snuff box depicting the German resort city of Bad Ems. It measures 1-15/16" x 1-3/8". The lid is slightly convex and it is just under 5/8" deep/tall. The top of the hinged oval box features a completely hand enameled aerial scenic view of the city. It takes a enamelist of some training and skill, as not only must they be able to depict the view properly in enamel, but know how the enamel reacts when it is fired, as the colors change. The enamel is fine quality, and was done by hand. It is stamped either KFK or KEK, and 800. I have seen that mark on a few enamel souvenir spoons and a ring, I believe it dates to possibly around 1900 to 1920. It weighs 26.7 grams, the interior is gilded, and it is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, dents, bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs.
