$68 pair

A scarce matching pair of Early American Pressed Glass 6-3/4" tall vases c1906. These Jefferson ruffled top spool vases have opalescent tops and allover threading. They were most likely used as match or spills holders for the fireplace with the threading used for striking the matches; their heavy weight, thick glass and flared foot would have been for stability and the match reservoir ends a full 1-1/2" from the base. These vases have a subtle blue and orange opalescence and the expected slight straw marks and mold marks, and they are in excellent original condition with no chips, cracks, losses, damage or repairs. All items are thoroughly and conservatively graded and all condition issues are noted; all items are secondhand and may have slight signs of gentle use. Surface shipping to the continental U.S. starts at $16 (other spots may vary) - insured is higher, and mandatory on items over $85 if paid with a credit card. Items paid with a credit card will be shipped to confirmed addresses only. We do ship internationally. All of our prices are in $US.

$175

A superb quality Arts and Crafts blown amber glass water pitcher with silver flakes or spangles and pinched sides c1890-1900. It is unsigned (as it often is) and is most likely European in origin. This high quality pitcher has an applied clear amber handle, and a thick base with a polished pontil. This unmarked 7-3/4" pitcher is in mint condition, with no chips, cracks, repairs or damage and shows the expected wear on the bottom. Arts & crafts period glass was often excellent quality, but it was usually reasonably expensive, so it is seldom seen now. A prize for your A & C or glass collection. Surface shipping starts at $16 (to the US - other spots may vary) - insured is higher. We do ship internationally. All of our prices are in $US.

$75

A vintage Art Nouveau period hand enamelled glass rose bowl c1885-1900. This finely blown 4-1/8" tall late Victorian glass vase measures 4" across. The enamelling is expertly done, with wonderful detail to the flowers, which include daisies. The vibrantly coloured enamels are thickly applied and expertly rendered; the bottom of the vase has an unfinished, rough prunt. There are traces of gold on the top lobed edge of the vase, as well as a slight and subtle oil-like irridescence on the glass itself. It is unsigned, and it is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, losses, scratches, repairs or damage other than a couple of very tiny abrasions to the lower leaves (barely noticeable, and the enamel remains in remarkable condition even after 100+ years). A beauty. Shipping begins at $6 to the US, insured is higher. We ship internationally, and all prices are in $US.
