A scarce matching pair of Early American Pressed Glass 6-3/4" tall vases c1906. These Jefferson ruffled top spool vases have opalescent tops and allover threading. They were most likely used as match or spills holders for the fireplace with the threading used for striking the matches; their heavy weight, thick glass and flared foot would have been for stability and the match reservoir ends a full 1-1/2" from the base. These vases have a subtle blue and orange opalescence and the expected slight straw marks and mold marks, and they are in excellent original condition with no chips, cracks, losses, damage or repairs. All items are thoroughly and conservatively graded and all condition issues are noted; all items are secondhand and may have slight signs of gentle use. Surface shipping to the continental U.S. starts at $16 (other spots may vary) - insured is higher, and mandatory on items over $85 if paid with a credit card. Items paid with a credit card will be shipped to confirmed addresses only. We do ship internationally. All of our prices are in $US.
