A lovely Victorian hand enamelled cobalt cased glass vase c1880-90. This 6" bulbous vase is in cobalt blue glass cased over white milk glass. It features hand enamelled stalks of wheat in black and thickly applied gold. It is as is often the case, unsigned with a polished pontil, and it is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, repairs or damage other than the loss of most of the gold from the interior of the leaves (just traces left).
