A simple and elegant American late 19th - early 20th century sterling cream jug and sugar bowl with pad feet and interior gilding. This set is marked STERLING and it includes the 3-5/8" high creamer and the 4-1/2" across the handles open two-handled sugar bowl. This set weighs 6.5 ounces and it is in excellent original condition with no scrapes, monograms, bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs other than a shallow indent on the interior of each piece from one foot and a penpoint shallow dent on the girdle of the sugar. An American sterling silver spring loaded coin purse or holder c1890. This 3" x 1-7/8" coin holder fits North American coinage, and it has an F&B in flag maker's mark, for Foster & Bailey of Providence, Rhode Island (c.1878-1898, after 1898 known as Theodore Foster & Bros.). It is also stamped STERLING 4975. It has a loop for wear on a watch or wrist chain and it snaps closed firmly. It is in very good original and working condition with no cracks, bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs, but please note there is some surface scratches and a few shallow dings from use and internal scrapes. There are Roman numerals on the inside of both sides of the case (XXVII, or 27) lid and an A.O.W. monogram. An unusual unmarked (but tested) Egyptian sterling salt spoon with a dhow and palm tree niello enamel scene on the handle. Niello is a process where black enamel is applied and fired onto a hollowed out scene. This 2-1/2" spoon is in excellent original condition with no scrapes, dents, monograms, bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs other than a small spot of surface tarnish in the bowl which can be easily buffed or polished out. An attractive American sterling silver swing handle sugar basket c1900 with the original cobalt glass liner. This 3-3/8" diameter bowl stands 3-1/2" high (6-1/8" with the handle), it has the Webster maker's mark with STERLING and the 10400 pattern number and it has a lightly engraved Gothic lettering E.T.Y monogram on the top of the handle (not shown). It weighs 90 grams without the liner, and this elegant table accessory is in excellent original condition with no chips, cracks, bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs other than a tiny dent on the upper rim and a slight flattening of a small area of the foot (both very slight).
