A vintage Georgian size 6-3/4 mourning ring with an onyx stone and black enamel. This ring measures 9/16 x 1/2" across the top, it is in 15k (umnarked but tested) yellow gold, and it has the inscription "F.D. OB 25 JULY 1790 OLT 41 B.D. OB 12 NOV 1818 OLT 77" on the interior. It weighs 3.5 grams, and it is in fair condition with no chips, cracks, dents, bends, corrosion, damage or repairs other than the loss of 1/3 of the tooled gold inserted around the edge of the ring (see images). The beads are carved through the green coating showing the white celluloid beneath, and the beads range from 3/16" to 11/16" across. A vintage c1900 Essex crystal flower basket brooch in a gilt brass setting. This unsigned pin features fine colouring and gilding and it has the original c-clasp. Essex crystals were a Victorian period fancy, with the crystal being reverse carved then hand painted to show the detail of the design. A vintage late Victorian 1-13/16 x 1" brass-mounted Essex crystal pin c1890-1900. Essex crystal features an intaglio carved crystal stone with reverse painting, and in this case the scene is a metallic lustre butterfly flanked by cherry blossoms in pink and green.
