Made as fundraisers for Carrie Nation in her fight against alcohol (through the Woman's Christian Temperance Union), these pins are a great symbol of the growing power or women at the turn of the 19th century. An Art Deco period vintage 14k and 18k yellow and white gold and diamonds ring c1930s. This size 6 ring features a central brilliant cut 9-10 pt. diamond (by gauge) with two - 2 point each brilliant flanking diamonds. This ring measures 7/16 x 1/4" across the diamonds, it weighs 1.5 grams, and it is stamped 14K - 18K with an obscured maker's mark (the ring has been sized at some point in the past). The claws are all present and appear to be in excellent shape. The diamonds are clear and clean looking, no visible inclusions, clouding or damage (there was a little surface dirt that was missed before photos on the large stone, has been since cleaned off). A vintage late Victorian/early Edwardian period gentleman's 10k yellow gold ring (just a faint tinge of rose gold tone), featuring a bevelled genuine sardonyx claw-set stone. This size 6 ring measures 3/8" across the stone, it weighs 4.0 grams, and it is stamped 10K and A.C.K. CO. It has BESSIE AUG. 20/1902 inscribed on the interior of the shank. The claws quite unusually end before the surface of the ring so not to impede the look of the stone - possibly this is why the stone has such unusual bevelling.
