A fine and stylish Victorian rolled gold plate brooch c1880-90, featuring a nice oval onyx bezel-set on a finely tooled front. This 1-1/4 x 1-1/8" pin has a dangling chain at the bottom, and an inset seed pearl in a gold leaf set into the onyx. It has the original c-clasp, and the gold has a nice rose colour. It is in very good original condition with no cracks, scrapes, dents, monograms, bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs; there is some solder from the attachment of the pin on the back and a couple of extremely tiny, barely visible pinhead bites on the edge of the onyx and a touch of wear to the plating on the extreme edges and one embossed ball (and some dust). All items are thoroughly and conservatively graded and all condition issues are noted.
