A late Victorian period pink coral hand carved cameo brooch with an attractive pierced rose gold filigree mounting, marked 10k, c1890-1900. This 1-1/8" x 15/16" cameo has an antique style gate latch safety catch and a folding swivel loop (it tucks away when you wish to wear it as a brooch) for wear as a pendant. It is carved in a fairly higher relief than average, and the filigree pattern looks like a repeating heart design. It is in excellent condition, with no chips, cracks, stress cracks, wear, repairs or damage. There is a faintly flat section near the bottom right of the setting, although this may have been original to the making of the setting. A size 6 10K man's pinkie ring from the Gamma Sigma fraternity, the oldest fraternity west of the Mississippi (founded 1863 at the Pacific University in Oregon). This ring measures 1/2" x 7/16" across the synthetic ruby stone, which has attached the white gold Greek letters insignia. It is made of 10K yellow gold, it weighs 3.5 grams, and it is in excellent original condition with no chips, cracks, dents, bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs. The faint white lines visible on the ruby section are actually just some fine fabric threads, not scratches, and have since been removed.
