An attractive late Georgian / Regency period 1-1/8" x 1" banded carnelian agate brooch c1835, mounted in 15k yellow gold. This pin features a deeply tooled floral border, the stone is a nice white banded carnelian agate, and this pin has a modified and later c-clasp (converted from a thumbwheel catch which was replaced at a later date). This unmarked but tested 15k brooch weighs 6.3 grams, and it is in excellent original condition with no chips, cracks, dents, bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs other than the clasp replacement. All items are thoroughly and conservatively graded and all condition issues are noted; all items are secondhand and may have slight signs of gentle use.
