A stylish vintage Victorian large Neoclassical style hair mourning brooch c1860s. This 2" x 1-1/2" pin features the multilayered effect found in Victorian high-style jewellery, and it has great gold appliques and wirework. It features two braids of hair under the original glass, which retains its original bezel. One plait is small and chestnut brown and tied with a pink ribbon, the other larger one is blonde with grey. The mounting and presentation is quite fine, and this unmarked pin tests as 14K yellow gold; it weighs 13.3 grams. It has a c-clasp, and it is in excellent condition with no dents, monograms, corrosion, repairs or damage other than the loss of one decorative "S" applique (easily replaced). A 2-1/4" long late Victorian amethyst and seed pearls stickpin in 14k yellow gold. The offset oval head of the stickpin measures 7/16 x 5/16" across, it weighs 1.0 grams, and it is in excellent original condition with no dents, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs except for some minor bends to the shaft. A 14k yellow gold 2-5/8" long late Victorian stickpin set with a genuine pearl c1890. The head of the stickpin measures 1/4" across, it weighs 1.0 grams, and it is in excellent original condition with no dents, bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs other than some minor scrapes on the shaft from the bulldog. Please note that the bulldog mechanism broke, so there is no longer a bulldog with this stickpin. The stamp is a bit obscured, but the stickpin has also been tested, and is guaranteed to be solid gold. A splendid, vintage Art Nouveau chatelaine pin in 12k gold (unmarked except for "GOLD" but tested) with seed pearls, a baroque pearl drop and a claw-set garnet (untested). This brooch has everything Art Nouveau is known for - sinuous and naturalistic design, pearls and finish; it has a c-clasp and it measures 1 x 7/8". It weighs 3.0 grams and it is in excellent original condition with no chips, cracks, dents, bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs; the hook for suspending a watch or accessory is tucked into the back and can be opened up if desired.
