A beautiful American advertising premium item c1900. It consists of a fine silver plated frame with fancy design work holding a sheaf of 7 oblong blotting papers, and covered with a celluloid lined cover. Issued as an advertising premium and marked E.H. NOBLE & CO. JEWELERS FINDINGS STEEL SHELL JEWELLERY BOXES CHICAGO ILL. on the ornate Art Nouveau silver plated mount, this 7-1/2" x 2-3/4" blotter is in superb original unused condition. The plated binding (held by tabs through the papers) is in excellent shape, the lined celluloid cover is excellent with only the expected very minor fine abrasions from age and the green blotters appear to be in unused excellent condition except for the top leaf which has faded from exposure to light (see picture). An unusual vintage c1900 American advertising piece. Shipping is $6 (to the US - other spots may vary) - insured is higher. We do ship internationally. All of our prices are in $US.

A wonderful and decorative vintage firkin or pail shaped large tin, which held Sharp's Super-Kreem Toffee c1920s. It measures 8-1/2" high and 7-1/8" across the bottom. It has a parrot and a bowler-hatted gentleman with moustache and cane (A "toff" in the English slang of the time); it says SHARP'S SUPER-KREEM TOFFEE SPEAKS FOR ITSELF, MANUFACTURED BY EDWARD SHARP & SONS, LTD. KREEMY WORKS MAIDSTONE ENG; also it says PLEASE SEE THAT EACH PIECE OF TOFFEE IS WRAPPED IN PAPER BEARING THE NAME OF "SHARP". The graphics and colours are strong, however this piece has the following condition: there is some scraping to the design on the man and text, with about 90% of the graphic intact; there is some minor corrosion and rusting on the bottom rim and on the bottom; the lid is missing; the lithographed paint is slightly powdered; the paint on the swing up handle is mostly missing; there are some shallow ripples and dents. It is in reasonable condition for its age, and this would make a wonderful display piece. Please note that we haven't attempted to clean or restore this tin, and all graphics are original and untouched. Shipping starts at $8 (to the US - other spots may vary) - insured is higher. We do ship internationally. All of our prices are in $US.
