A well-painted, attractive Czechoslovakian porcelain brass-mounted powder jar c1920. This 3-1/8" diameter box stands 2" tall; it has fine hand painted flowers on the top and bottom. It has wavy lines in the glaze in aclever imitation of the look of ivory, and it has gilt brass mounts. It has the orange Czecho-Slovakia mark. It retains the original interior mirror, and it is in excellent original condition with no chips, cracks, crazing, dents, bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs other than some alligatoring to the mirror's silver backing and some minor gilding losses to the mounts. A superb late Victorian period tortoiseshell celluloid hair backcomb with an opulent paste laden wings set into a rolled gold plated setting c1890. This lovely hair accessory measures 5-1/8" x 2-3/4", and the white paste claw-set stones are mounted on a gold plated wing shaped back plate. The paste stones are all claw set and mounted into a twist wirework superstructure. The backing plate is a rolled rose gold sheet pin mounted into the comb. It is in excellent original condition with no chips, cracks, losses, damage or repairs other than some minute tarnish/corrosion spots near the edge of the plate (not particularly noticeable). A vintage Victorian late 19th century genuine mother of pearl change purse. This 2-7/8 x 2" purse has a red-dyed linen compartmented interior and nickel plating; it is unsigned and it is in very good original condition with no chips, cracks, scrapes, dents, monograms, bends, losses, damage or repairs other than some (possibly original) bowing to the mother-of-pearl panels and some very slight surface corrosion on the nickel plating.
