A pair of 5-3/8" large sugar tongs in the sterling silver Louis pattern, introduced by Ellis. Dating from before 1921, when Ellis was bought out by Birks, these tongs are of an ample size to be used as ice tongs (1-1/2" spread between claws), they are stamped STERLING with the Ellis in maple leaf mark, they have a B monogram on one arm and they weigh 34 grams. This item is in excellent original condition with no dents, bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs.
