A finely carved set of three genuine ivory 1" wide napkin rings, each with two scrimshaw-type inked lion scenes. Each is 1/8" thick and 1-7/16" across; one side has a crouching and snarling lion, and the other has a walking lion. They are unsigned, and each has high quality carving with yellow and black inked highlights. They are in excellent original condition with no chips, cracks, scrapes, losses, damage or repairs. All items are thoroughly and conservatively graded and all condition issues are noted; all items are secondhand and may have slight signs of gentle use. Uninsured surface shipping starts at $6 (to the US - other spots may vary) - insured is higher, and mandatory on items over $85 if paid with a credit card; credit card items will be shipped to confirmed billing addresses only. A cool and stylish addition to your Retro modern kitchen. This is an unsigned steak knife set in a wild geometric multiwood block c1960. The set consists of six turned handled rosewood fruit (or small steak) knives with stainless blades, set into a wonderful and decorative rosewood and mahogany thick veneer angular block. The block has black spacing between the variegated wood veneer, which has carefully chosen rosewood sections; the block measures 4-1/2" long and 3-1/4" high. The 7-1/2" knives add another 5-1/2" to the overall height. The blades are only stamped with a crowned garter mark with what appears to be Best Stainless Steel written inside the belt lines. A great and useful and decorative item, or a thoughtful gift. This unusual set is in excellent unused condition, with no cracks, delamination, scratches, staining, repairs or damage other than a small chip to one upper corner of the block (quite minor).
