A 2-7/8" tall and 2-3/4" across turned dark stained ebony dresser jar c1900-10. This jar has a threaded wooden lid with an applied (unmarked) sterling script F initial. This jar is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, losses, repairs or damage. Years of polishing the silver letter has caused some wear to the painted finish on top, so the fine grain of the ebony can be seen. A decorative, vintage 1950s modernistic 6-1/4 x 4-1/8" enamelled copper and wood box, signed California Cloisonne. This box has the CC sticker, which says: "California Cloisonne 1958 Hand Decorated Enamel on opper by Landau and Associates Los Angeles". The top has thickly applied enamel with painted highlights and the wood box (which appears to be mahogany) has a cork bottom liner. It is inscribed T. V. 143/candy Box in wax pencil on the bottom, and this decorative table item is in very good original condition with no chips, dents, bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs other than some whitening of the black painted highlights and a minor crack in the thick clear coat. All items are thoroughly and conservatively graded and all condition issues are noted; all items are secondhand and may have slight signs of gentle use. A superb quality signed inlaid wood serving tray c1920s. This 12-1/4 x 9-1/2" tray has a beautiful mahagony base with multiwood inlay in the center, including satinwood, rosewood, teak, oak, coromandel and others. The rayed panels in the center are carefully laid out, with fine inlay between each of them, and the center medallion is surrounded by an inlaid band. It is signed, however we can't make out the mark of this quality maker. The panels glimmer wonderfully and this tray has a great patina. It is in excellent condition with no chips, losses, repairs or damage other than a crack on two rays from shrinkage, and some minor gaps along the stringing between a few of the panels again from shrinkage.
