| A scarce deep navy blue bakelite two piece brass mounted leaf-form belt buckle c1930s. This buckle consists of two 1-7/8" x 1-5/8" dark blue bakelite segments, both deeply carved with a star and wavy border. Navy blue bakelite is possibly one of the least commonly seen colours in single coloured period bakelite items. Each has brass mounts, and this unsigned buckle is in very good original condition with no chips, cracks, losses, damage or repairs other than some surface corrosion on the brass tongue on one segment. Guaranteed to be vintage genuine pre-WWII period bakelite. All items are thoroughly and conservatively graded and all condition issues are noted.
