| A great and unusual Art Deco period Scottish terrier pin with a brown carved celluloid/composition head and rhinestone-encrusted body c1920s. This scarce vintage 2-1/8" x 2" pot metal pin with a c-clasp features a hand painted eye and black nose. The head of the dog is a dark brown, and appears to have been hand carved - the celluloid has a wood-like appearance. These early paste brooches rarely survive in such great original shape, as they were often worn on coats. It is in excellent original condition with no chips, cracks, dents, bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs other than some minor yellowing on a few of the rhinestones. All items are thoroughly and conservatively graded and all condition issues are noted; all items are secondhand and may have slight signs of gentle use. Surface shipping to the continental U.S. is $6 (other spots may vary) - insured is higher, and mandatory on items over $85 if paid with a credit card.
