| A sterling silver serving or table spoon, made in and hallmarked for Exeter, England 1793-4. This 8-1/2" serving spoon has the maker's mark for Joseph Hicks; sterling production at Exeter ceased in 1882. This item is in fine condition, with no wear, scratches, corrosion, repairs or damage other than some minor dimpling in the bowl (exaggerated in the picture), and a mostly rubbed unidentified monogram as well as some slight wear on the very tip of the spoon from use, as would be expected on a 200 year old spoon. Please note that our photos are taken before these items are polished to enhance detail; they will appear better than our scans and will shipped to you cleaned and polished. They are strictly graded and any defects and wear other than the expected signs of gentle use are noted. Surface shipping is $6 (to the US - other spots may vary) - insured is higher. We do ship internationally. All of our prices are in $US. | ||
