| A Victorian gentleman's sterling silver Albert curb link watch chain c1890. This 14-1/4" hallmarked English watch chain has a date mark of Birmingham 1890-1, and it has a centre drop of three links, to allow the addition of a fob (one link is doubled over & not soldered). It weighs 27.5 grams. It is in the graduated Albert design so popular with watch chains at that time, and is in very good antique condition, but please note that the second watch swivel is possibly a replacement (may not be, as it is as old as the chain), based on the fact that it is a slightly smaller size and is stamped STERLING and JS rather than hallmarked. It is somewhat more scuffed in appearance than the first swivel.
