| A fabulous looking Art Deco period gilt brass ball chain necklace c1920s-30s. This striking vintage period 16-3/4" long necklace features a double chain necklace and an ornate floral bow with a black glass or french jet oval "gem". There is a tubular mount in the back of the bow that holds the dangling row or fringe of ball chains of graduated lengths, very flapper-ish. The black cabochon french jet stone in the centre of the bow is bezel set in its setting, and the somwhat ornate push-in clasp works perfectly. The large deco bow is covered with of a multitude of tiny flowers. It is well constructed and it is in very good original condition with no chips, cracks, dents, bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs other than some not-unexpected wear to the gilding and some minor surface scratches on the black stone. All items are thoroughly and conservatively graded and all condition issues are noted; all items are secondhand and may have slight signs of gentle use.
