A hand carved figure of the Buddha, possibly in bone, but more likely ivory (the typical graining is not visible, but the colour and feel are correct - graining may only be visible under the gold) mounted in an 18k yellow gold setting. Dating to the 1960s, this 1" high pendant or charm features the carving with a gold loop and base. The loop has a maker's mark and the base has the Italian 750 84 H gold mark. A true antique Victorian hand carved waxed meerschaum clay pipe in the form of a cuffed hand holding a bowl. This 4-5/8" smoking accessory features the original pressed amber mouthpiece, the silver plated brass ferrule and the ornately carved cuffed hand and bowl. This example has the warm brown colour found on waxed examples. As an option, quality tobacconists and pipesellers offered a custom waxed finish, a labour intensive preservative and enhancement feature. This one has the typical lightly waxed rim of the bowl as contrast. The detail is superb as you can see. It comes with the original green silk and plush lined hinged leather wrapped case. A Victorian sterling silver ornate floral hand mirror circa 1890 1900. This antique 10-1/2" x 5-3/4" dresser set piece has a she ield cartouche that has not had a monogram. The silver marks are usually found near the base of the mirror at the handle, which in this case appears to have been shortened slightly, you can see a separate line, obscuring the hallmarks. The mirror was tested and it does test as sterling silver. Greatly resembles older Kirk or Steiff silver.
