An attractive mid-Victorian mourning brooch c1860-80. It is a pressed horn with a dark resinous/lacquer finish to resemble jet or bog oak (which was a semi-petrified and preserved wood from the marshy bogs of Ireland, less common even in the 19th century, so also imitated). This 1-5/8" x 1" pin features a high relief flower spray; it has the original brass c-clasp. This piece of mourning jewelry is in excellent original condition with no cracks, losses, damage or repairs except a small edge flake. A French carved galalith necklace from the 1930s in green and white - NOS. this new pld stock (NOS) French 16" necklace has hand-carved graduated green coated galalith beads. The beads are carved through the green coating, which was done by dipping the beads, then carving them showing the white galalith beneath, and the beads range from 3/16" to 11/16" across. This necklace has a green dipped galalith barrel clasp, and it retains the original store order tag, which has a printed MADE IN FRANCE on the one side, and #700 stock number and $12.00/doz. written on it in pen on the other side. A Garrard of London sterling silver gravy sauce boat dated 1972. It is fully hallmarked for London, England with a date mark for 1972. It measures just under 6" in length, and is 2-7/8" in width, with a greatest height of 3-1/4" (handle). This elegant boat has three hoof-shaped feet. It has the maker's mark G&Co Ld for Garrard and it is stamped GARRARD & Co Ltd 112 REGENT STREET LONDON W on the bottom. Garrard & Company is one of the most, if not the most prestigious goldmith and jeweller in the UK, and was until recently the Crown jeweller.
