A Webster sterling sugar basket with a cobalt liner from around 1900. This attractive American sterling silver swing handle sugar basket has the original cobalt glass liner. The 3-3/8" diameter bowl stands 3-1/2" high (6-1/8" with the handle), it has the Webster maker's mark with STERLING and the 10400 pattern number and it has a lightly engraved Gothic lettering E.T.Y monogram on the top of the handle (not shown). A large vintage socket-blade cabinetmaker's slotted screwdriver circa 1920. This furniture maker's tool measures 18" long, including the 7-1/2" faceted massive wood handle with brass ferrule and an incised N initial on the handle. The hexagonal 1/2" wide blade is firmly mounted, and this vintage tool has a wonderful patina. This item is in excellent original condition with no chips, dents, bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs other than some possibly newer varnish on the handle covering a tight crack on the handle, and the end of the driver which has been sharpened in the past. A Victorian sterling silver ornate floral hand mirror circa 1890 1900. This antique 10-1/2" x 5-3/4" dresser set piece has a she ield cartouche that has not had a monogram. The silver marks are usually found near the base of the mirror at the handle, which in this case appears to have been shortened slightly, you can see a separate line, obscuring the hallmarks. The mirror was tested and it does test as sterling silver. Greatly resembles older Kirk or Steiff silver. This item is in very good condition with no chips, cracks, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs other than some edge denting, a pushed in area on one side of the handle, and some silvering loss to the mirror back (can be re-silvered). An interesting antique silver plated pinioned-lid stamp box c1880-1890. This 2-5/8" x 1-1/2" unsigned box features a floral corner applique and two applied butterflies on the top, a pin stop and corner swinging pivot. The interior has remnants of what appears to be adhesive from some missing material and it has two cutout felt pieces; it would make a nice tiny jewel box also. This item is in excellent condition with no dents, bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs other than a slight blush of brass on the applied sections and some minor roughness to the top's silver plating. A late Victorian c1890-1900 moulded 5-1/2" milk glass vase with a high relief scene of a Dutch mother and child at the seashore or lake. The child carries a small sailboat and this unsigned vase has blue sprayed on colour. Niello is a process where black enamel is applied and fired onto a hollowed out scene. This bowl measures 12-3/4 x 10" and it weighs an impressive 1 lb. 14-1/2 ounces. It has the crown, lion and Prince of Wales feathers marks and a 154 pattern. This mark is sometimes erroneously ascribed to the sterling silver wares of Webster (Rainwater) but it is plated.
