A Gorham sterling silver miniature chamber stick or candle holder dated 1891. This Victorian era ornate chamberstick stands 1-5/8" high and it measures 3-3/8" across the base. It is stamped with the lion/anchor/G mark, along with STERLING 181 and the year cypher for 1891. Although a dainty size, these small candle holders sat on a writing deak or in a travel writing desk, as they had the practical use of melting sealing wax for an envelope or document. A hand painted Ashworth Imari ironstone dinner plate from 1899. This wonderfully decorative Victorian 10-1/2" dinner plate is in the Imari palette with a cobalt and gold border and a central floral panel with Oriental cameos around the edge. We haven't found a name for this pattern however B2050 is the same except with a black ground. It has various stamps including the Ashworth's Ironstone crown mark, B, an artist cypher, the B3665(?) pattern number, an impressed W, plus a hard to read impressed mark and a 7/99 date stamp. An Indonesian Yogya solid silver belt buckle from 1900 or earlier. This beautifully hand tooled openwork buckle measures 4-1/2 x 2-7/8" when the two halves are attached with their hook and eye clasp. A large and heavy 8-1/2" Georgian Dublin sterling silver dinner fork, hallmarked for 1829. A scarce and early red and white transfer large 10-1/2" rim soup bowl c1830s, in the Tadmor In The Desert pattern. From Jackson's Warranted (England) Holy Bible series, this early c1830s bowl is in fair original condition with no cracks, or repairs; it has the following condition notes - some minor inner rim losses (largest shown is 1/2", looks like a spoon rested in that spot for about 150 years, the rest are small), some minor outer edge glaze flakes, loss of gloss and fine network of cutmarks to the bowl interior from decades of use (not affecting transfer), allover crazing visible on back only, stained area on back. This scarce serving platter sized pierced drainer is in the English ironstone transferware pattern Khyber Hawthorn, issued c1875-80 by Podmore & Walker / Wedgwood & Co. This 13" x 9-3/8" drainer features a great blue/black transfer of flowers, and it has the retailer's mark (James Green & Nephew, London). A Moritz Elimeyer 900 silver brandy pan or measure, probably dating to the late 19th century. This elegant antique silver piece has a twist decoration and interior gilding. It is 5-1/4" in length with the bowl measuring 2-5/8 across the rim with a depth of 1-1/4". It has the company and German post 1886 silver marks of ELIMEYER 900 with an S with crossed hammers Dresden maker's mark and the German post 1886 silver moon and crown. It holds approximately 2 - 2-1/2 ounces, and was used to add a little warming brandy to alleviate the chill in cold weather. It also has a crowned CL crest/monogram on the handle which appears to be a legacy mark from the 16th century House of Hanover royal monogram of Christian Louis, Duke of Brunswick-Luneburg (this item was possibly owned by a descendant). This is the same House of Hanover related to the current British royal family from the reign of George I, who was the reigning Duke of Brunswick-Lüneburg when he became the king of England is 1720.
