This vintage 1950s-60s sterling silver 14-1/4" necklace and matching 7" bracelet is set with bezel set facetted square cut rhinestones, made by Avon Belleville. Founded by Abe Mazer of Mazer/Jomaz and located in Belleville, Ontario, Canada (1945-71), this company was purchased by the California Perfume Company (Avon) in 1971 (info from Illusionjewels, with thanks). Each piece is 3/16" wide and each has a snapover catch; they are signed AVON STERLING. A Navajo sterling silver and nephrite jade ring circa 1960s. This vintage hand made statement size 6 ring is unsigned, which is not unusual in older pieces. It was brought here from Arizona approximately 50 years ago. It measures 1-3/4" x 5/8" across the top section, and weighs 10.2 grams. There are 3 star-like symbols at each end, which may represent the tribal hogan, or home. The stone is hand cut and polished, so a little unsophisticated by modern tribal artisan standards but an interesting piece.
