A well made vintage WMF (Wurttembergische Metallwarenfabrik Germany) .800 silver soup ladle in the Chippendale pattern. Chippendale has been manufactured by WMF since 1930. This ladle measures 12-1/2" long, 3-7/8" across the bowl, which has curved edges, and it weighs an impressive 6.4 ounces. It is stamped WMF and 800, with the crescent moon and crown. It has an RD monogram, and it is in excellent vintage condition with no dents, corrosion, pattern wear, cracks, repairs or damage. All items are thoroughly and conservatively graded and all condition issues are noted; all items are vintage or antique and may have slight signs of gentle use. A vintage 3" Dutch silver bookmark with a fine figural free spinning windmill on the top. This book mark has the sword mark used from 1906-53 and it has an unidentified maker's mark. A fine vintage Art Deco style 6-3/4" step sided .800 silver wine slide or coaster. This item was used to slide bottles of wine along the table (most had wood bottoms with felt or fabric). This one is stamped A800 with an A (bee or figure) C maker's mark. This mark was used in Belgium on silver articles after 1942, we have been unable to identify the maker as yet. It weighs an impressive 173.3 grams, and it is in very good condition with no monograms, bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs other than a dent on the bottom and a patina from use.
