A sterling silver cigarette case with an enamel crest from the Royal Canadian Air Force hallmarked 1937. This vintage classic silver case an engine-turned design and a triple F monogram (probably presented to a World War I soldier) and it retains all of the original interior gilding. The original cigarette retaining spring is present but typically slightly stretched. It is fully hallmarked for Birmingham England 1937 and it weighs 97.9 grams. It has the maker's mark for Samuel M. Levi Ltd. The interior guard spring for the cigarettes is still present, but a bit stretched at each end. The case closes shut firmly and is aligned, but please note there is a slight bowing in the middle. This is likely an easy fix, even an at-home one. A sterling silver enamel military sweetheart brooch pin 1900-1920. This large, lavish Art Nouveau design 2-1/2" x 1-7/16" pin features subtle and lovely lavender enamel flowers and borders, and it is on a textured sterling ground. There is a soldered shield with a central maple leaf applied to the pin, and it has blackened borders around the details - I believe it is a World War One or a Boer War period sweetheart or wives brooch. A Chinese cinnabar & enamel floral dress clip circa 1900. This nice quality antique 3-3/4" x 1" Chinese cinnabar and multicolour enamel floral dress clip features a filigree silver setting with a spring-hinged long dress clip clasp; it has a toothed rake at the end to hold it to the fabric. It may have originally been a brooch or some other decoration, these pieces were sometimes converted to dress clips after 1910, and the clip section doesn't appear to be added, but may have been. An unusual unmarked (but tested) Egyptian sterling salt spoon with a dhow and palm tree niello enamel scene on the handle. Niello is a process where black enamel is applied and fired onto a hollowed out scene. This 2-1/2" spoon is in excellent original condition with no scrapes, dents, monograms, bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs other than a small spot of surface tarnish in the bowl which can be easily buffed or polished out. An enamel 800 silver enamel snuffbox or snuff box depicting the German resort city of Bad Ems. It measures 1-15/16" x 1-3/8". The lid is slightly convex and it is just under 5/8" deep/tall. The top of the hinged oval box features a completely hand enameled aerial scenic view of the city. It takes a enamelist of some training and skill, as not only must they be able to depict the view properly in enamel, but know how the enamel reacts when it is fired, as the colors change. The enamel is fine quality, and was done by hand. It is stamped either KFK or KEK, and 800. I have seen that mark on a few enamel souvenir spoons and a ring, I believe it dates to possibly around 1900 to 1920. It weighs 26.7 grams, the interior is gilded, and it is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, dents, bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs.
