This large 14-1/4" skewer measures 1-1/8" across the beaded-edge loop; it has a Gothic B monogram and the pseudo hallmarks for an English silver plate company. A small and decorative handled silverplated candy or serving dish with a pressed glass bowl and a turned wood painted handle c1890. This dish stands 6" high and 5-1/4" long; it is 4-1/2" wide. It is of high quality, with conical feet, a threaded bolt securing the handle and nuts securing the base to the diamond shaped silverplated handle. This dish is unmarked but probably English, and the original fitted pressed glass bowl has a crisp and pleasant pattern. A set of six (6) silver plated spoons by Christofle (France). They appear to be a variant of unknown usage of dessert spoons - they measure 6 3/8" in length. The pattern looks like Fidelio, but I have not seen this spoon in Fidelio before. They are in perfect condition - they were given as a gift quite a few years back and were never used, just polished occasionally. Unfortunately, I have no idea what they are, but I would be happy to add it to the description if anyone would care to email. There are no initials or inscriptions on the spoons, but there is an interesting fire-breathing dragon engraved on the back of the spoons. A fine example of mid-Victorian Naturalism. This is a silver plated egg stand in the form of tree branches, with the English registry mark for 1871. This set consists of the four silver plated 2-3/8" high eggcups and the cast metal 5-1/2" tall handled base with branches and leaves. The base measures 4-1/2" across, it has branch supports for four spoons (not present), and it has the registry mark on the bottom. Also on the bottom is a W7754 pattern number and an obscured maker's mark; it appears to have been re-plated in the past as shown by the lack of tarnish in the deep crevasses. An unmarked but Arts and Crafts period bud vase with a square and austere silver plated base and a hand blown and pulled square glass vase insert with a flared neck c1890-1900. This vase measures 7/8" across the base and it stands 6" high; it has all of the handcrafted style expected in the Arts and Crafts European style of this era. We were informed that it probably came from Scotland originally.
