A vintage high quality hand gilded 2-1/4" tall cup and matching 6" saucer in the English bone china Seville 6874 pattern by Aynsley. This cup and saucer features a Renaissance inspired hand applied encrusted gold decoration including griffons, with high relief gold highlights or encrusting. All on a cobalt blue ground with white and cream grounds as well. Aynsley made wonderful quality cups, many are collectible. Great bridal shower gift idea, or start off your own teacup collection. It is in excellent vintage condition with no chips, cracks, dents, bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs. All items are thoroughly and conservatively graded and all condition issues are noted; all items are vintage or antique and may have slight signs of gentle use as would be expected. Silver and silver plated items are hand-polished, not buffed, and our halogens and magnified images may exaggerate otherwise barely noticeable scratches and flaws.
