An English sterling silver mustard pot dated 1920. This vintage fully hallmarked English sterling silver 2-3/8" tall footed round mustard pot with a handle was made in Chester in 1920-21. This table serving item has a hinged lid and a slot for a mustard spoon, and it has the original cobalt blue glass liner. It has a WV&S maker's mark for William Vale & Sons (registered 1895) and it has a weighted base for stability (with some later felt on the bottom). This item is in excellent vintage condition with no chips, cracks, bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs other than a small penpoint dent near the top rim and expected patination from use. All items are thoroughly and conservatively graded and all condition issues are noted; all items are vintage or antique and may have slight signs of gentle use. An unmarked but Arts and Crafts period bud vase with a square and austere silver plated base and a hand blown and pulled square glass vase insert with a flared neck c1890-1900. This vase measures 7/8" across the base and it stands 6" high; it has all of the handcrafted style expected in the Arts and Crafts European style of this era. We were informed that it probably came from Scotland originally. This vase is in excellent condition, with no chips, cracks, dents, repairs or damage other than a slight bit of brassing at the edges of the stand. An unusual three piece late 19th century silverplated carving set by Simpson, Hall and Miller. This set has silverplated handles in the form of deer antlers rather than real antlers; it consists of the 16-1/4" carving knife (blade marked SIMPSON, HALL, MILLER & CO. SHEAR STEEL. WALLINGFORD, CT.), the 14-3/8" smooth sided sharpening steel, and the 12-5/8" carving fork. This set is in near mint barely used original condition with no dents, bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs.
