This fine 12-3/8" silver plated serving piece was made by Edward Barnard & Sons; it has a nicely pierced blade and it has the quatrefoil barnard mark with B in the centre and E, E J and W surrounding, with a shield mark and B mark and bird mark. An interesting antique silver plated pinioned-lid stamp box c1880-1890. This 2-5/8" x 1-1/2" unsigned box features a floral corner applique and two applied butterflies on the top, a pin stop and corner swinging pivot. The interior has remnants of what appears to be adhesive from some missing material and it has two cutout felt pieces; it would make a nice tiny jewel box also. A 3/4" late Victorian gold filled windowed pendant and 18" fine link gold filled chain with springring catch c1900, containing authentic gold nuggets. The two windows on the locket show the gold from both sides; the nuggets weigh 0.8 grams. An Empress Gloss papier mache advertising box circa 1890-1900. This German box has a fancy script "EMPRESS" GLOSS gold advertising decal on the lid. This 6-1/4" x 2-1/4" box has a black lacquer exterior and a red interior, and the lid is hinge-mounted. It is stamped "PAPIER MACHE" MANUFACTURED IN GERMANY on the bottom. We were unable to find out any information on the product or company, but the polish for Victorian period leather boots was typically known then as shoe gloss, so possibly this was for a shoe polish product. This item is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, crazing, losses, damage or repairs other than a few tiny flakes to the lacquer on the lid's edge (one visible, three under the lip) and some minor losses to the shiny gloss on the surface (very slight). A Webster sterling sugar basket with a cobalt liner from around 1900. This attractive American sterling silver swing handle sugar basket has the original cobalt glass liner. The 3-3/8" diameter bowl stands 3-1/2" high (6-1/8" with the handle), it has the Webster maker's mark with STERLING and the 10400 pattern number and it has a lightly engraved Gothic lettering E.T.Y monogram on the top of the handle (not shown). A Roger Williams sterling footed openwork bowl circa 1905. This nice quality openwork sterling silver ball-footed bowl was made by the Roger Williams Silver Co.. They purchased the Howard Silver dies in 1901, merged with Mauser in 1903, then with Hays & McFarland Co. to found Mount Vernon Silversmiths. They were later bought by Gorham. This 6-3/8" x 4-3/4" ball footed dish is stamped I.R. PRINDLE (retailer) RW (Williams mark) STERLING and 7107 (pattern number). A late Victorian or Edwardian 14K yellow gold flower style diamond ring c1900-10. This size 5-1/4 or 5.25 ring has a 15 point (by gauge) genuine diamond mounted with large claws. The diamond measures 3 mm. across, and the top of the ring is 3/16" across. The diamond is clear and clean, no visible inclusions under a 10X loupe, and this ring weighs 2.2 grams.
