This 2-1/2" stickpin features two Art Nouveau maidens with flowing decoration and bright beams of light flashing from a star in their hair. It has a typical period matte or Roman finish of deep yellow old (the gold was acid treated to bring a pure gold bloom or colour to the piece, apopular finish at the time). A Victorian 12k genuine turquoise and diamonds ring circa 1890 1900. This antique size 2-3/4 or 2.75 yellow gold ring measures 3/4" x 1/4" across the top. It is mostly unmarked but has been tested. It may have been sized down in the past, which means sometimes original stamps are lost. The turquoise cabochons gem stones are genuine Persian turquoise. It has a stylized X mark, and the five genuine diamonds range from 2.5 to 6-7 points in the centre (approximate weight 17-18 points) in setting measured by gauge. It is probable these 1910-20s cut diamonds are a later replacement for the original pearls, which frequently were worn or damaged in pieces this age.
