A set of six sterling silver 4-1/4" demitasse spoons in the Stratford pattern, issued in 1925 by Roden Brothers, Toronto. These spoons are stamped with the Roden mark and STERLING (with two marked DINGWALL, the retailer), and each has an H monogram. A set of six (6) silver plated spoons by Christofle (France). They appear to be a variant of unknown usage of dessert spoons - they measure 6 3/8" in length. The pattern looks like Fidelio, but I have not seen this spoon in Fidelio before. They are in perfect condition - they were given as a gift quite a few years back and were never used, just polished occasionally. Unfortunately, I have no idea what they are, but I would be happy to add it to the description if anyone would care to email. There are no initials or inscriptions on the spoons, but there is an interesting fire-breathing dragon engraved on the back of the spoons. These spoons have a single gothic monogram - I am not good at deciphering these letters, but it may be an I or an L. A true antique Victorian hand carved waxed meerschaum clay pipe in the form of a cuffed hand holding a bowl. This 4-5/8" smoking accessory features the original pressed amber mouthpiece, the silver plated brass ferrule and the ornately carved cuffed hand and bowl. This example has the warm brown colour found on waxed examples. As an option, quality tobacconists and pipesellers offered a custom waxed finish, a labour intensive preservative and enhancement feature. This one has the typical lightly waxed rim of the bowl as contrast. The detail is superb as you can see. It comes with the original green silk and plush lined hinged leather wrapped case. It is in very good condition with no cracks, dents, bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs other than wear to the leather finish on the case and a small loss to the rim of the bowl. A handmade Art Deco pewter inkstand from the 1920s. This absolutely fabulous vintage Art Deco sheet pewter-over-wood desk set consists of the 8-5/8 x 5-1/2" base, with a fitted glass inkwell, a hand-done optical checkerboard Deco motif (stippled and gloss segments) and a matching 8 x 7/8" letter opener, which rests on one of the two channels on the base (the other is for a pen). Also included is a 5-1/8 x 2-1/8" rocking ink blotter with screw-on knob and checkerboard motif. This high quality but unsigned writing stand has bun feet and a cloth covering on the wood base, and it is in excellent original condition with no chips, cracks, dents, bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs.
