This unsigned dish has lots of gilding, and the woman is emitting a stream of smoke; there is a smoking cigarette to her right. It has a painted mark of 82 in red and it is probably German or Austrian. An Arts & Crafts English sterling silver pierced tea strainer, fully hallmarked for Birmingham England 1905 - 1906. This sntique 5-1/2" leng strainer has a simple tubular handle with a closed end. It is widest at the handle end, and tapers towards the bowl. It has a pierced 2-3/4" bowl; it has a THH & Co. maker's mark, most likely for TH Hazelwood & Company. An enamel 800 silver enamel snuffbox or snuff box depicting the German resort city of Bad Ems. It measures 1-15/16" x 1-3/8". The lid is slightly convex and it is just under 5/8" deep/tall. The top of the hinged oval box features a completely hand enameled aerial scenic view of the city. It takes a enamelist of some training and skill, as not only must they be able to depict the view properly in enamel, but know how the enamel reacts when it is fired, as the colors change. The enamel is fine quality, and was done by hand. It is stamped either KFK or KEK, and 800. I have seen that mark on a few enamel souvenir spoons and a ring, I believe it dates to possibly around 1900 to 1920. It weighs 26.7 grams, the interior is gilded, and it is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, dents, bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs. Please note that the colors are more true and correct in the second picture. An Empress Gloss papier mache advertising box circa 1890-1900. This German box has a fancy script "EMPRESS" GLOSS gold advertising decal on the lid. This 6-1/4" x 2-1/4" box has a black lacquer exterior and a red interior, and the lid is hinge-mounted. It is stamped "PAPIER MACHE" MANUFACTURED IN GERMANY on the bottom. We were unable to find out any information on the product or company, but the polish for Victorian period leather boots was typically known then as shoe gloss, so possibly this was for a shoe polish product. This item is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, crazing, losses, damage or repairs other than a few tiny flakes to the lacquer on the lid's edge (one visible, three under the lip) and some minor losses to the shiny gloss on the surface (very slight). A Roger Williams sterling footed openwork bowl circa 1905. This nice quality openwork sterling silver ball-footed bowl was made by the Roger Williams Silver Co.. They purchased the Howard Silver dies in 1901, merged with Mauser in 1903, then with Hays & McFarland Co. to found Mount Vernon Silversmiths. They were later bought by Gorham. This 6-3/8" x 4-3/4" ball footed dish is stamped I.R. PRINDLE (retailer) RW (Williams mark) STERLING and 7107 (pattern number). An unusual unmarked (but tested) Egyptian sterling salt spoon with a dhow and palm tree niello enamel scene on the handle. Niello is a process where black enamel is applied and fired onto a hollowed out scene. A Royal Worcester blue and green floral design pedestal cake stand with the Worcester year date mark for 1913. This antique 8-1/2" diameter English bone china small cake stand is 1-3/4" tall. The design consists of green flowers with blue leaves and tendrils in a blue traditional Asian square plant-pot. It has an inner border-design, also in green. It also has a British registry number of 546206, indicating the design was registered in in Britain in 1909. Replacements.com calls this design RW7. Our stand has no underside number (if there at all, such numbers were usually on English china for stores to use in ordering the china). This item is in very good condition with no chips, cracks, crazing, staining, repairs or damage other than some slight flecks to the green upper rim paint trim and some very minor cut marks, only a few of which slightly affect the design.

A Gorham sterling silver miniature chamber stick or candle holder dated 1891. This Victorian era ornate chamberstick stands 1-5/8" high and it measures 3-3/8" across the base. It is stamped with the lion/anchor/G mark, along with STERLING 181 and the year cypher for 1891. Although a dainty size, these small candle holders sat on a writing deak or in a travel writing desk, as they had the practical use of melting sealing wax for an envelope or document. A Japanese Moriage green footed & handled porcelain vase circa 1880 with roses. This finely decorated pale green 4-1/2" high vase has a crimped neck, two handles, and three feet, and it features hand painted roses and leaves on a green ground.
