A Moritz Elimeyer 900 silver brandy pan or measure, probably dating to the late 19th century. This elegant antique silver piece has a twist decoration and interior gilding. It is 5-1/4" in length with the bowl measuring 2-5/8 across the rim with a depth of 1-1/4". It has the company and German post 1886 silver marks of ELIMEYER 900 with an S with crossed hammers Dresden maker's mark and the German post 1886 silver moon and crown. It holds approximately 2 - 2-1/2 ounces, and was used to add a little warming brandy to alleviate the chill in cold weather. It also has a crowned CL crest/monogram on the handle which appears to be a legacy mark from the 16th century House of Hanover royal monogram of Christian Louis, Duke of Brunswick-Luneburg (this item was possibly owned by a descendant). This is the same House of Hanover related to the current British royal family from the reign of George I, who was the reigning Duke of Brunswick-Lüneburg when he became the king of England is 1720. This item weighs 82.3 grams, and it is in excellent antique condition with no breaks, corrosion, losses, damage or visible repairs. A 19thC Royal Copenhagen white bisque porcelain plaque with cherubs circa 1860 1880. This antique Danish 6" x 4-7/8" wall has a detailed scen of cheubic figures helping to gather and crush grapes. It is marked ENERET EB on the back with the three blue lines Copenhagen mark. This item is in very good condition with no crazing, losses, damage or repairs other than some original firing lines/cracks cracks on the top and bottom edges which are original to the manufacture of the piece and two small edge chips on the right hand edge. A Japanese Moriage green footed & handled porcelain vase circa 1880 with roses. An antique Austro-Hungarian or German 1-7/8" x 1-1/4" perfume flask or bottle c1880s-1900. It has an ornate, high relief silver plated floral design overlay, showing the Art Nouveau influence. This unsigned and excellent quality purse perfume bottle has a chain on the lid (but no stopper) along with an engraved name we can't make out. A Gorham sterling silver miniature chamber stick or candle holder dated 1891. This Victorian era ornate chamberstick stands 1-5/8" high and it measures 3-3/8" across the base. It is stamped with the lion/anchor/G mark, along with STERLING 181 and the year cypher for 1891. Although a dainty size, these small candle holders sat on a writing deak or in a travel writing desk, as they had the practical use of melting sealing wax for an envelope or document. It weighs 41.6 grams. The maximum taper width for the opening is 9/16" across. It is in excellent condition with no monograms, dents, bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs. A hand painted Ashworth Imari ironstone dinner plate from 1899. This wonderfully decorative Victorian 10-1/2" dinner plate is in the Imari palette with a cobalt and gold border and a central floral panel with Oriental cameos around the edge. We haven't found a name for this pattern however B2050 is the same except with a black ground. It has various stamps including the Ashworth's Ironstone crown mark, B, an artist cypher, the B3665(?) pattern number, an impressed W, plus a hard to read impressed mark and a 7/99 date stamp. A late Victorian c1890-1900 moulded 5-1/2" milk glass vase with a high relief scene of a Dutch mother and child at the seashore or lake. The child carries a small sailboat and this unsigned vase has blue sprayed on colour. A large splendid mid-19th century 14K hand made brooch with a central large claw-set genuine pearl. This 2-3/8" x 1-3/4" brooch has very finely hand engraved and stippled leaves with superb detail with a fine 7.2 mm pearl in the center. The pin is a c-clasp and the pearl setting is mounted with a hand cut nut and bolt; the pin weighs an impressive 14.4 grams (1/2 ounce) of 14k gold; it is not marked but has been tested and is guaranteed to be 14K. This scarce vintage 2-3/4" custard glass toothpick holder is in the Vermont or Honeycomb with Flower Band or Inverted Thumbprint Daisy Band pattern, issued by US Glass c1899. It has crisply molded detail on the band, rim and on the feet; the honeycomb design is on the interior. A vintage Victorian 1-3/4" x 1-1/4" hand-carved bone pin c1860-80, depicting a stag or reindeer in the forest. A beautifully painted pair of framed watercolour photo renderings c1880-1900. They consist of a young man and woman in mid-Victorian dress; each image is done on Victorian photographic print paper and they measure 6-3/4" x 4-3/4". It was common to overpaint old and fading photographs, however these are of such fine quality and detail that they were most likely done from a mirrored projection, another common method of photographic rendering (we can't find any photographic detail under the painting with visual magnification). Each has the legend J. POWELL PHOTO on the image (even the J Powell is over-painted). The frames are an attractive matched pair of gilt painted wood, but are fairly recent in manufacture - the pictures were framed and matted less than 20 years ago. The couple is quite handsome, and they can be your new instant ancestors.... This pair of watercolour portraits is in very good original condition with no losses, damage or repairs other than a faint water stain and a couple of fox marks on the lady and some spots of missing colour on the gentleman (possibly from removal from some old glass to which the photo/picture had adhered). Each has been recently reframed and matted, and the spots on the man could be restored.
