A Victorian rolled gold plate crystal spider brooch tie pin circa 1880s. This vintage late Victorian period 2-5/8" long pin has a 7/8" spider with an amber crystal body and amber paste head. This pin has a safety-pin type catch, it is stamped ROLLED GOLD and there appears to be a small 87 and the letter S. It is also stamped W.Bs on the clasp. This unmarked piece of sentimental Victorian jewellery features a spring-style bangle configuration mounted with the attached hearts under a bow, with yellow gold engraved flowers and rose gold leaves on textured silver tendrils. This unusual Victorian period bracelet measures 2-1/2" x 2-1/4" across the interior and 5/8" across the heart and ribbon. A mother of pearl rgp telescoping lorgnette handle from the 1890s. This eyeglasses extending handle is made of ornate rolled gold plate and hand carved mother of pearl panels with nice colour flash. It measures 5-1/4" when closed and 9-3/8" when opened. The top is 5/8" across, the extension has a fine checkerboard pattern, and the retaining inserts for the eyeglass frame are made of tortoiseshell. A McCamus Bobcaygeon Ontario medicine chemical bottle circa 1900. This 2-3/4" high (with lid) medicine or chemical bottle with the original paper label has a turned wooden mushroom cap. Thomas McCamus (b.1860) was the son of Wm. McCamus, a druggist in Bobcaygeon, Ontario, Canada (in the 1881 census, he was listed as a clerk, presumably in his father's druggist and chemist store, which he must have later taken over as indicated by his name on the label). The printed label states: T. McCAMUS, CHEMIST AND DRUGGIST, BOBCAYGEON, ONTARIO. and it has BISMUTH SUB. (illegible). The turned wooden cap is cork lined and it has a fragmented black paper lining. The bottle is two-molded with the expected flaws. This early Canadian medicinal bottle is in excellent original condition with no chips, cracks, losses, damage or repairs other than some minor staining and fading to the label and some cracking and loss to the lid liner.
