An Edwardian pot metal paste bangle 1910-1920. This vintage 5/16" wide paste rhinestone hinged bangle is made of dull grey pot metal (brightened in our pictures), and it has dozens of claw-set antique cut paste rhinestones. Paste of this era was less sparkly than later versions and glinted like antique cut diamonds in low lighting conditions (such as at night). It has a double-button box clasp and it is unsigned, and it measures 2-3/8 x 2-1/16" across the interior. An English sterling silver graduated heavy link watch chain, hallmarked with a date stamp on the swivel and onecente-loop for Birmingham 1901. The fob is an 1897 English silver thruppence - threepenny or three pence silver coin. This coin was sometimes used as here to commemorate Queen Victoria's Diamond Jubilee in 1897 celebrating 60 years reign. Each link has the lion passant mark for sterling silver.
