A fine vintage Art Deco style 6-3/4" step sided .800 silver wine slide or coaster. This item was used to slide bottles of wine along the table (most had wood bottoms with felt or fabric). This one is stamped A800 with an A (bee or figure) C maker's mark. This mark was used in Belgium on silver articles after 1942, we have been unable to identify the maker as yet. It weighs an impressive 173.3 grams, and it is in very good condition with no monograms, bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs other than a dent on the bottom and a patina from use. A vintage pierced sterling silver napkin ring c1920s by Roden. Roden was bought out by Birks in 1928. It is stamped STERLING with the Roden company mark. Birks bought all Roden's inventory and parts and molds, and the Roden mark can be seen on some Birks silver items until several decades after. This 1-3/4" across napkin ring is 5/8" wide, and it has (remarkably) never been monogrammed. It has the Roden maker's mark and Sterling, it weighs 5.4 grams, and it is in mostly excellent condition with no dents, breaks, losses, damage or repairs, but it is a little out of round, and could stand a better polishing. An individual sterling silver egg cup with Birmingham 1937 hallmarks. This vintage 2-9/16" tall sterling eggcup is a simple design, and has a J monogram engraved on the f side. It has a swirled brown celluloid base cover covering the weighted base. It has a A.S.P Co. mark for the Angora Silver Plate Co. Ltd who were in Birmingham and in London. A 4-3/4" tall splint and sweetgrass woven Native American Northeastern embroidery or sewing thread lidded basket c1900-30. This 5" diameter Penobscot or Passamaquoddy basket retains traces of its original green and red colour and the sweetgrass still has a pleasant aroma. A sterling silver cigarette case with an enamel crest from the Royal Canadian Air Force hallmarked 1937. This vintage classic silver case an engine-turned design and a triple F monogram (probably presented to a World War I soldier) and it retains all of the original interior gilding. The original cigarette retaining spring is present but typically slightly stretched. It is fully hallmarked for Birmingham England 1937 and it weighs 97.9 grams. It has the maker's mark for Samuel M. Levi Ltd. The interior guard spring for the cigarettes is still present, but a bit stretched at each end. The case closes shut firmly and is aligned, but please note there is a slight bowing in the middle. This is likely an easy fix, even an at-home one.
