It measures just under 6" in length, and is 2-7/8" in width, with a greatest height of 3-1/4" (handle). This elegant boat has three hoof-shaped feet. It has the maker's mark G&Co Ld for Garrard and it is stamped GARRARD & Co Ltd 112 REGENT STREET LONDON W on the bottom. Garrard & Company is one of the most, if not the most prestigious goldmith and jeweller in the UK, and was until recently the Crown jeweller. A Roden (Birks) sterling 1930s napkin ring with an N monogram by Roden Bros, Toronto. Roden was bought out by Birks in 1928. This 3/4" wide sterling napkin ring measures 2" x 1-1/2" across the interior and it has lined decoration. It has a rubbed STERLING mark with the Roden maker's mark. Birks bought all Roden's inventory and parts and molds, and the Roden mark can be seen on some Birks silver items until several decades after. It weighs 19.2 grams and it is in excellent vintage condition with no breaks, bends, corrosion, losses, or repairs. It had the expected patina from use and some very tiny edge dents on upper rim, visible upon very close inspection.
