A Royal Crown Derby 2451 Old Imari pattern English bone china tea cup and saucer circa 1923. The teacup is 3-3/8" tall and the matching saucer is 5-5/8" across. Each has the red Derby mark and the year cipher for 1923 (the saucer has an underglaze 1922 as well). Pre 1970s old Imari is entirely hand painted, unlike now. This particular cup and saucer was also popular for serving coffee. This vintage 5/16" wide paste rhinestone hinged bangle is made of dull grey pot metal (brightened in our pictures), and it has dozens of claw-set antique cut paste rhinestones. Paste of this era was less sparkly than later versions and glinted like antique cut diamonds in low lighting conditions (such as at night). It has a double-button box clasp and it is unsigned, and it measures 2-3/8 x 2-1/16" across the interior. This table serving item has a hinged lid and a slot for a mustard spoon, and it has the original cobalt blue glass liner. It has a WV&S maker's mark for William Vale & Sons (registered 1895) and it has a weighted base for stability (with some later felt on the bottom).
